Hans Greil (1845–1909) was a teacher and the first director of the Hallstatt School of Woodcraft and later the Ebensee School of Woodcraft. Alongside his educational work, he was one of the best-known wood sculptors and carvers of the Salzkammergut, whose significance reached far beyond the region.
