Hans Greil (1845–1909) was a teacher and the first director of the Wood Trade School Hallstatt and later of the Wood Trade School Ebensee. Alongside his work as an educator, he was a renowned wood sculptor and carver whose significance reached far beyond the Salzkammergut.
