Exhibition "Hans Greil" at Museum.Ebensee

Hans Greil (1845–1909), teacher and first director of the Hallstatt School of Woodcraft and later of the Ebensee School of Woodcraft, was alongside his pedagogical work also a renowned wood sculptor and carver whose significance reached far beyond the Salzkammergut. Greil created altars such as the high altar in Litschau or the altar of the Wallsee castle chapel. He also designed, among other things, the model for the Franz-Carl fountain in Bad Ischl.
