Exhibition "Hans Greil" at Museum.Ebensee

Hans Greil (1845–1909), teacher and first director of the Hallstatt School of Woodcraft and later the Ebensee School of Woodcraft, was, alongside his work in education, also a renowned wood sculptor and carver whose significance extended far beyond the Salzkammergut. Greil created altarpieces such as the high altar in Litschau and the altar of the Wallsee Castle Chapel. Among other works, he also designed the model for the Franz Carl Brunnen in Bad Ischl.
