Exhibition "Hans Greil" at Museum.Ebensee

Hans Greil (1845–1909), teacher and first director of the Holzfachschule Hallstatt and later of the Holzfachschule Ebensee, was not only a dedicated educator but also a renowned wood sculptor and carver whose significance extended far beyond the Salzkammergut. Greil created altars, such as the high altar in Litschau and the altar of the Wallsee castle chapel. He also designed, among other things, the model for the Franz Carl Brunnen in Bad Ischl.
