Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of yesteryear. What was life like back then, what happened to a condemned person, how was a court hearing conducted, and what punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you will find a wealth of fascinating information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach to create a picturesque connection between the impressive old prison and the Baderbachmühle. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in no time at all on a leisurely stroll.

Opening hours: Independent visits possible daily all year round from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (depending on weather conditions – no snow clearance!). Free admission!
