Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of yesteryear. What was life like in those times, what happened to a convicted person, how was a court trial conducted, and what punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the artificial island in Lake Fuschl, you will find a wealth of fascinating information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach stream, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach Mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in a short walk.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible all year round, daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions – no snow clearing!)
