Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of times gone by. What was life like back then, what happened to those who were convicted, how were court hearings conducted, and what kinds of punishments could one expect? The second part is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg — from Roman times to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you will find a wide range of interesting information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach under the #ploetzhof, creating a picturesque connection between the impressive old prison and the Baderbachmühle. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) — the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall — in a short walk.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible daily, all year round, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions — no snow clearance!)
