Ploetzhof Museum Visit

New
Culture

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of days gone by. What was life like back then, what happened to those who were convicted, how was a court trial conducted, and what kind of sentences could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the man-made island in the Fuschlsee, you will find a wide range of interesting information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge over the Baderbach was installed beneath the #ploetzhof, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbachmühle. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in no time at all during a leisurely stroll.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible daily, year-round, from 10:00 to 18:00. (Weather permitting – no snow clearing!)

Admission: Free!
