Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of days gone by. What was life like back then, what happened to a convicted person, how was a court trial conducted, and what kind of punishments could one expect? The second part is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you'll find a wide range of interesting information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, a bridge over the Baderbach was installed as part of the LEADER Project II to create a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach Mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in next to no time during a leisurely stroll. Opening hours: Self-guided visits possible daily year-round from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (depending on weather conditions – no snow clearance!). Admission: Free!
