Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of times gone by. What was life like back then, how was a convict treated, how was a court hearing conducted, and what kind of punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the man-made island in the Fuschlsee, you'll find a wide range of interesting information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof and as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach, creating a picturesque connection between the impressive old prison and the Baderbach Mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in a short stroll.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible all year round, daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions – no snow clearing!)
