Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of days gone by. What was life like back then, what was the fate of a condemned person, how was a court trial conducted, and what kinds of punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you'll find a wealth of fascinating information from a long-lost era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof as part of LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbachmühle. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) in one short walk: the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible year-round, daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions – no snow clearing!)
