Ploetzhof Museum Visit

New
CultureEducation

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of days gone by. What was life like back then, what was the fate of a condemned person, how was a court trial conducted, and what kind of punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg — from Roman times to the man-made island on the Fuschlsee, you will find a wide range of fascinating insights from a long-lost era. In 2024, as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge over the Baderbach was installed beneath the #ploetzhof, creating a picturesque connection between the impressive old prison and the Baderbachmühle. This now enables visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) in no time on a leisurely walk: the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits possible all year round, daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions – no snow clearing!)

Admission: Free!
