Ploetzhof Museum Visit

CultureEducation New

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of times gone by. What was life like back then, what happened to a convicted person, how was a court trial conducted, and what kind of punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you'll find a wide range of interesting information from a long-forgotten era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach Mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) in a short walk – namely the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits possible daily, all year round, from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. (Depending on weather conditions – no snow clearance!)
