Ploetzhof Museum Visit

The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of days gone by. What was life like back then, what fate awaited a convicted person, how was a court hearing conducted, and what punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from Roman times to the man-made island in the Fuschlsee, you will find a wide range of interesting information from a bygone era. In 2024, as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach beneath the #ploetzhof, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach Mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – namely the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in just a short walk.

Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible daily, year-round, from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (weather permitting – no snow clearing!).
