The endless expanses of the Dachstein massif from within – the gigantic Mammoth Cave will amaze you with its incredible dimensions and a play of colors you would never expect beneath the surface of the Salzkammergut!

The name Mammoth Cave was chosen by its discoverers because of the immense size of the underground chambers and passages in this cave system. To date, more than 70 kilometers of these passages have been explored, with just under one kilometer accessible during the guided tours.

During the approximately one-hour guided tours of the Mammoth Cave, visitors gain insight into the geological origins of caves and the fascinating world beneath the surface.
