Experience the Steamship "Gisela" - Ebensee to Gmunden

The "Gisela" is one of the oldest steamships in the world, built in 1871, and features an oscillating compound steam engine. You can watch both the engine and the engineers at work from the deck. Along with this, she is one of the most beautiful ships to glide gracefully across the water with her two paddle wheels.From July 1 to August 31, 2026, guests can board every Sunday at 10:15 am (arrival of the Gisela at 10:10 am) at the Ebensee landing stage and use this elegant mode of transport for the journey to Rathausplatz in Gmunden.In the district capital, you disembark and can catch the next scheduled ship back to Ebensee at 11:30 am or one of the subsequent sailings (depending on how long you'd like to stay; for sailing times, see the timetable at www.traunseeschifffahrt.at ).Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle.Travel information: If you park your vehicle in Trauneck or around the municipal office, please note the parking fees!
