3-Day Crossing of the Höllengebirge

Over three days, the Höllengebirge is crossed from the Langbathtal to the Langbathseen. On the first day, the route leads from the Wirtshaus in der Kreh in the Langbathtal via the Feuerkogel to the Rieder Hütte (9.5 km, 1,285 m up, 165 m down).

The second day is the most demanding stage of the tour and requires both physical fitness and technical skill. An early start as well as stable weather conditions are essential (9.3 km, 720 m up, 930 m down).

On the third day, the terrain becomes gentler again: From the Hochleckenhaus, the route leads via the Aurachursprung and the Taferlklaussee to the Langbathseen and finally back to the starting point (14.8 km, 210 m up, 1,110 m down).

Impressive karst landscape with numerous cave entrances, a cozy hut break with excellent food at the Rieder Hütte and the Hochleckenhaus, and as a crowning finale, a hike along the beautifully situated Langbathseen.
