"seismographic calligraphies" Opening on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at 2 pm Exhibition runs until 31 October 2026 In his works, Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes the same text over and over again – a text that has stayed with him since his early childhood. Through constant repetition, the actual content of the text recedes into the background; the script becomes a design element and the act of writing turns into a repetitive, meditative process. The meaning is always present, yet the central focus of the works is the form itself. Reiter uses the continuous line of letters strung together to create his images in various formats through the act of writing. They range from miniatures to three-dimensional script objects, which he folds and shapes from written-upon paper. Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes with wooden sticks and ink on tracing paper. Writing becomes a projection surface for the artist's feelings and moods – Norbert Trawöger calls his works "seismographic calligraphies." Museum admission
