"seismographic calligraphies" Opening on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at 2 pm Exhibition runs until 31 October 2026 In his works, Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes the same text over and over — a text that has stayed with him since early childhood. Through constant repetition, the actual content of the text recedes into the background; the script becomes a design element and the act of writing a repetitive, meditative process. The meaning is always present, yet the central focus of the works is form. Reiter uses the continuous line of linked letters to "write" his images in a variety of formats. They range from miniatures to three-dimensional script objects, which he folds and shapes from written-on paper. Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes with wooden sticks and ink on tracing paper. The writing becomes a projection surface for the artist's sensations and moods — Norbert Trawöger has called his works "seismographic calligraphies." Museum admission
