History with a Sharp Pen: Cartoon Exhibition "Graphic Novel" in Altaussee

The German comic artist Simon Schwartz is a master of this craft and brings history to life in a vivid, personal way. He has transformed the eventful history of the Altaussee salt mine—from the Stone Age to the Nazi era—as well as the art treasures stored in the mountain and their spectacular rescue, into a graphic novel.

Simon Schwartz: Comic artist, author, and illustrator. Simon Schwartz is one of the best-known German comic artists. He debuted in 2009 with "drüben!", the touching graphic novel about his parents' departure from East Germany. His book "Packeis" was published in 2012.
