SIMON PLÖTZENEDER & FRIENDS, Live at the Gustobox

The trio Simon Plötzeneder & Friends brings together three long-time musical companions: Plötzeneder, double bassist Max Leiß, and drummer Julian Fau. The three musicians met during their studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and have since shared a close friendship – united by their shared passion for Bebop and Straight-Ahead Jazz. Over the past years, they have performed concerts together in a wide variety of formations and lineups in the Netherlands, Italy, and Austria. Their collaboration culminated in a CD recording in Nuremberg, featuring selected arrangements of classic jazz standards – fresh, vibrant, and with a clear dedication to the tradition of jazz.
