Ploetzhof Museum Tour

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of times past. What was life like back then, what happened to those who were sentenced, how were court hearings conducted, and what punishments could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof bei Salzburg – from the Roman era to the artificial island in the Fuschlsee, you'll find a wealth of interesting information from a long-gone time. In 2024, as part of the LEADER Project II, a bridge over the Baderbach was installed beneath the #ploetzhof, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) in no time at all on a leisurely walk – namely the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall. Opening hours: year-round daily self-guided tours possible from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. (depending on weather conditions – no snow clearing!) Free admission!
