Experience Steamship "Gisela" – Ebensee to Gmunden

The "Gisela" is one of the oldest steamships in the world, built in 1871, and features an oscillating compound steam engine. Both the engine and the engineers can be observed from the deck. It is also one of the most beautiful ships on the water, gliding along historically with its two paddle wheels.

From 1 July to 31 August 2026, guests can board every Sunday at 10:15 (the Gisela arrives at 10:10) at the Ebensee landing stage and use this elegant means of transport for the journey to Rathausplatz Gmunden. In the district capital, you disembark and can take the next scheduled boat back to Ebensee at 11:30, or one of the later boats (depending on how long you wish to stay; see timetable for sailing times).

• Return: Scheduled boat from Gmunden at 11:30 (or later boats)
