After all, traders and craftsmen have been offering their goods at the weekly market in Bad Ischl for centuries – the town's market rights date back to 1466. Over the centuries, the market has experienced many ups and downs before it was finally agreed in 1941 to hold the weekly market on a Friday, behind! the Trinkhalle down to the banks of the Traun (Salinenparkplatz). Friday has remained the same to this day; the location, however, has changed.
