In his works, Wolfgang Maria Reiter writes the same text over and over – words that have stayed with him since early childhood. Through constant repetition, the actual meaning of the text fades into the background: the script becomes a means of design, and the act of writing turns into a repetitive, meditative process. The meaning is always present, yet the true focus of the works lies in the form. Reiter uses the continuous line of letters strung together to create, through writing, images that render the visual essence of language tangible.
