Gosau Forest Adventure Park
Experience the ultimate adventure park for the whole family in Gosau – adventure meets nature. The Forest Adventure Park is designed to offer an outdoor experience for all guests and locals of every age. It is especially suited for event and incentive activities hosted by tourism businesses in the inner Salzkammergut, as well as for working with people with special needs, such as visually impaired or mobility-limited individuals, and for student and apprentice training programs. In a safe and controlled environment, participants are immersed in an extraordinary, intensive nature experience. All activities are designed to be accessible to as many age groups as possible.
The Mini Climbing Park – an adventure playground for young children, based on the applicable standards for children's movement needs in nature. The adventure playground consists of artificial obstacles (artificial hemp and/or steel ropes combined with wood) located at a height of 0.5 – 1 m between living trees. The Mini Climbing Park is built according to playground standards and can be climbed without any additional equipment. This provides a low entry threshold and also serves as a wonderful physical challenge for teenagers and adults. Elements such as climbing and balancing can be learned through play here.
The Low Rope/High Rope Park, including a Jump Station and Flying Fox, is a course made up of artificial exercises (rope and/or steel cables) located at a height of 3 – 18 m between living trees. With the help of a climbing harness and carabiners as fall protection, these exercises can be climbed. All elements of a forest high rope course are attached to the trunks using a special fastening technique. Various courses with different levels of difficulty can be set up. Special routes for children, for example, consist of simpler exercises at lower heights. A total of 7 courses with up to 14 exercises will be built. In total, 73 stations can be climbed through. The entire facility is constructed and operated in accordance with the applicable norms and standards.
