This is the question Christoph Schmidsberger asked himself while working on his new book "SALZKAMMERGUT Seen entdecken – erwandern – erleben" (Discovering the Lakes of the Salzkammergut – Hiking – Experiencing), published by Anton Pustet Verlag. What began as a search became a snapshot in time: 92 lakes in the Salzkammergut. With images, maps, and stories, the evening leads the audience to familiar shores, hidden waters, ancient traces, and lakes slowly disappearing — and to the question of what a lake actually is.
