Special Exhibition "Mahlers – 10 Years of the Gustav Mahler Festival" in Steinbach am Attersee

Gustav Mahler came to Steinbach am Attersee for his summer retreats from 1893 to 1896. In his composing hut near the Gasthof zum Höllengebirge in Seefeld, he composed 6 songs, major parts of his II. Symphony ("Resurrection"), as well as his musical depiction of the entire universe, the III. Symphony. The special exhibition offers insights into Mahler's life, his work, and his thinking. The exhibition can be viewed for around 1 year, until May 31, 2027. Always on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM.
