Many of our readers have already read about it: from September 2025 until 28 August 2026, extensive renovation works are taking place at Salzwelten in Hallstatt. Among other things, the funicular railway up to the Salzberg is being renewed. Therefore, the show mine and the "Skywalk Hallstatt" will be closed during this period. Anyone who loves mysterious tunnels – and by that we don't mean the delicious Christmas biscuits – will still get their full money's worth even during the construction works. Because Salzwelten Hallstatt has set up a cool shuttle to the show mine in Styrian Altaussee, valid until 31.8.2026.
