Salzwelten Experiences During the Renovation Works in Hallstatt: Bus Shuttle to Salzwelten Altaussee

Standing in mysterious tunnels – and no, we're not talking about Christmas cookies: During the extensive renovation works at Salzwelten Hallstatt from September 2025 to 28 August 2026, a trip to the show mine in Altaussee is especially worthwhile. Salzwelten Hallstatt has set up a bus shuttle that brings visitors conveniently to Altaussee in Styria. There, an exciting experience awaits inside the mountain, with mysterious tunnels just waiting to be explored.

Since the funicular railway up to the salt mountain is being renewed in Hallstatt, among other things, the show mine and the "Skywalk Hallstatt" are closed during this period. The shuttle offers the ideal opportunity to fully enjoy the fascinating world of salt even during the construction works.
