Salzwelten Experiences During Renovation Works in Hallstatt: Bus Shuttle to Salzwelten Altaussee

Take the Salzwelten shuttle for an easy and convenient trip to the Altaussee salt mine. Many of our readers have already heard the news: from September 2025 to 28 August 2026, extensive renovation works are taking place at the Salzwelten in Hallstatt. Among other things, the funicular railway up to the salt mountain will be renewed. For this reason, the show mine and the "Skywalk Hallstatt" will be closed during this period. Anyone who loves mysterious tunnels – and we're not talking about the delicious Christmas baked goods here – will still get plenty to enjoy during the construction works. Because the Salzwelten Hallstatt have set up a shuttle service to the show mine in Altaussee, Styria, until 31.8.2026.
