Repair-Café Pettenbach

People come together to repair, chat, and exchange ideas. By the end, all devices are working again, and we look forward to the next time — along with a small donation. Anything that can be carried with two hands and used in daily life is repaired. The name "Repair-Café" can be a bit confusing in German — it is not a café in the traditional sense. However, to make the wait more pleasant, volunteers at our Repair-Café do offer coffee and cake. Since all helpers work on a voluntary and non-profit basis, we are very grateful to the municipality for providing the space. Anyone who would like to participate or help out is welcome to get in touch with Heimo Sauer at the Brillenkistl or by email at tomjones80@gmx.at. Starting October 2024, a Repair-Café will take place in Pettenbach at the former fire station depot every 4th Friday of the month from 6 to 8 pm. Any exceptions will be announced in good time. This monthly schedule also allows us to carry out a repair in two stages. For example, at the first meeting the fault is diagnosed and the spare part is ordered, and at the next Repair-Café it is then installed together — and everyone enjoys the successful outcome.
