Obertrauner Mountain Experience – "From the Krippenstein to the Guttenberghaus"

Across the vast Dachstein plateau, past the "Krippensteinkapperl" and over the steep karren fields of the Gjaidsteinscharte, the route leads to the organic youth hostel Guttenberghaus. The trail follows marked paths and is well doable with a bit of mountain experience and decent fitness. Stunning views of the Gosaukamm and the impressive north face of the Hoher Dachstein are your reward. Along the way, there's a short stop at the Krippenbrunn for drinks and small bites. Snacks and sturdy footwear are recommended. On the Dachstein plateau, conditions can still feel wintry even in summer — appropriate gear is advisable.
