Painting & Co.: Exhibition "Kollektiv Obertraun" at the Gemeindeamt of Obertraun am Hallstättersee

The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings and works by the married couple Andrea and Josef Lantschner as well as by Monika Unterberger – all of whom are based on the southern shore of the Hallstättersee.

In her work, Andrea Lantschner explores intensively the reduced depiction of the human body, developing from it an independent, unmistakable expression. Various techniques merge to create a pictorial diversity of compositional possibilities. Partial views of the body deliberately remain ambiguous – accompanied by hints and freely invented abstract spaces.

Monika Unterberger, born in Innsbruck and having moved to Obertraun over 30 years ago, draws inspiration for her paintings – created in a wide variety of techniques – from the surrounding landscapes and settlement areas of the region.
