Lights Out – Nature On at the Long Night of Nature Parks

The night sky above the Naturpark region is full of stars! A breathtaking natural spectacle worth experiencing and preserving. To mark Earth Night on 11 September 2026, Naturpark Attersee-Traunsee and many nature parks across Austria are hosting the "Long Night of the Nature Parks." It's an invitation to immerse yourself in natural darkness and discover the wonders of the night. During this nocturnal event on 11 September, the night will come alive for young and young-at-heart at the Rathausplatz in Schörfling am Attersee. The evening becomes a stage for butterflies, bats, night-time storytellers, experts on darkness – and for you!

• craft enchanting creatures of the night
• take astonishing glimpses into outer space
• enjoy a variety of talks
• attract and identify butterflies together with researchers

This will be an entertaining "Long Night of the Nature Parks" for everyone. Come see what's happening here and join us when, as part of Earth Night, we switch off the lights in Schörfling at 10 pm – for at least one dark night of the year. We look forward to seeing you!
