Concert: El Kosht

Fatima El Kosht comes from Argentina and moved her life to Austria after completing her studies in composition. Her music is shaped by impressions from all over the world, which she skillfully expresses in her diverse and colorful repertoire. The result is a successful fusion of catchy melodies with vocals and rhythms in a South American flair. "Latin & Travel Music" represents her musical approach – to capture a piece of her homeland, to cross borders, to linger wherever she pleases, and yet to stay in constant motion in order to discover something new. In her songs, Fatima sings and philosophizes in Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole about life, love, and a turbulent history in all its light and shadow sides. Guitar and percussion form the web of harmony and rhythm with which the singer lightly and effortlessly interweaves herself.
