A labyrinth of superlatives: The infinite expanses of the Dachstein massif from within – the gigantic Mammoth Cave will thrill you with its incredible dimensions and a play of colors you would not expect beneath the surface of the Salzkammergut!

The name Mammoth Cave was chosen by its discoverers because of the vast dimensions of the underground chambers and passages in this cave system. To date, more than 70 kilometers of these passages have been explored, just under one kilometer of which can be walked through during the guided tours.
