The endless expanses of the Dachstein massif from within — the gigantic Mammoth Cave will delight you with its incredible dimensions and a play of colors you would never expect beneath the surface of the Salzkammergut! The name Mammoth Cave was chosen by its discoverers due to the sheer scale of the underground chambers and passages within this cave system. To date, more than 70 kilometers of these passages have been explored, with just under one kilometer open to visitors through guided tours.
