Candle Light Dinner at "Das Geyerhammer"

Enjoy a cozy meal with your loved ones! Every Wednesday from 6 pm, we serve our 3-course evening menu, including 1 bottle of wine (0.75 l). The menu will be a surprise — we're happy to check in advance whether everything works as planned for you and gladly accommodate your wishes. Treat yourself and your loved one to an evening in a romantic atmosphere and reserve a table online right away.

We recommend traveling by public transport.

By train: Take the Almtalbahn (Line 153) from Wels station towards Grünau im Almtal to the Scharnstein-Mühldorf stop. Numerous connections at Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (Line 101). On foot, approx. 5–7 minutes from the station across the Hofmüllersteg bridge to the restaurant.

• Departure Wels Hbf: 4:50 pm / 5:50 pm (Tue–Fri)
• Arrival Scharnstein-Mühldorf: 5:45 pm / 6:45 pm

For travel from Wels, we recommend the Upper Austrian Leisure Ticket (OÖ. Freizeitticket) for € 19.90 (for 2 persons, round trip).

The last return trip on the Almtalbahn towards Wels already leaves at 8:16 pm. We therefore recommend leaving Wels at 4:50 pm to have enough time for dinner. Those wishing to arrive later can take the 9:45 pm train to Grünau im Almtal and stay overnight there, e.g. at the Romantikhotel Almtalhof (near the station). By bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Gmunden – Scharnstein – Grünau im Almtal, stop Scharnstein Ortszentrum, approx. 15–17 minutes on foot to the restaurant.

Salzkammergut Shuttle Service:

• Route 52: Laakirchen to the stop Bahnhof Scharnstein-Mühldorf
• Route 70: Vorchdorf to the stop Almbrücke

Please call at least 1 hour in advance at 050-422 422 to the Taxi Zentrale or order via the otaxi app. Return journey possible until 8:00 pm; afterwards, use one of the region's taxi providers or stay overnight in the area.

By car: Westautobahn A1 Vienna – Voralpenkreuz A9 or Inntalautobahn A8 Passau – Wels – Voralpenkreuz A9 – Exit Ried/Tr. – continue via Voitsdorf – Pettenbach – Scharnstein – turnoff Almbrücke. Or Westautobahn A1 Munich – Salzburg – Regau – Gmunden – Scharnstein – turnoff Almbrücke. Parking at the restaurant or car park 1 for Ruine Scharnstein, 100 metres away.
